2019 Chicago Auto Show Electric Cars
The 2019 Chicago Auto Show displayed some new electric cars from several different manufacturers. Some of the electric cars being produced are considered Extended Range Electrics with gasoline engines. Feel free to search our inventory for any electric powered car or suv. 2019 Audi e-tron
The 2019 Audi e-tron is a 5-seat electric crossover that’s only available as a 4-door wagon. Only all-wheel-drive is offered.
The 2019 Audi e-tron has only one drivetrain: Two asynchronous motors that receive 95kWh of energy from a high-voltage battery system that’s capable of launching the e-tron from 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 124 mph. Approximately 248 miles of range are expected.
The 2019 Audi e-tron is available in three different trims: Premium Plus, Prestige and First Edition. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, virtual cockpit, 360-degree camera, LED headlights and taillights, head-up display, 21-inch wheels, leather seats, heated and ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof and low-friction tires.
2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV
The 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV is a 5-passenger electric car that’s only available as a 4-door hatchback. Only front-wheel-drive models are offered.
The 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV has only one drivetrain available: An electric motor that produces 150 kW of power, equivalent to 200 horsepower. It is paired to a single-speed transmission. It offers 238 miles of range and two hours of charging can offer up to 50 miles of range.
The 2019 Chevrolet Bolt is available in two different trims levels: LT and Premier. Convenience features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 4G LTE hotspot, infotainment system, navigation system and remote start. Safety features include a rear camera mirror, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection and 360-degree camera.
2019 Honda Clarity
The 2019 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid is a 5-seat car that’s only available as a 4-door sedan. Only front-wheel-drive models are offered.
The 2019 Honda Clarity has only one engine: A 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine paired to a permanent-magnet synchronous AC motor that produces a total output of 212 horsepower. Only a 1-speed direct drive transmission is available. Electric-only range is rated at 48 miles. Electric and hydrogen fuel cell variants are also available.
The 2019 Honda Clarity has only one trim offered. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, leather seats, Bluetooth, USB, Pandora, satellite radio, and navigation system. Safety features include forward-collision warning, rearview camera, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, collision-mitigation braking and road-departure mitigation system.
2019 Jaguar I-Pace
The 2019 Jaguar I-Pace is a 5-seat luxury, electric car that’s only available as a 4-door crossover. Only all-wheel-drive models are offered.
The 2019 Jaguar I-Pace has only one drivetrain available: A 90 kWh battery pack with dual electric motors, one in the front and one in the rear. Total power is rated at 394 horsepower and it can cover up to 240 miles on a single charge.
The 2019 Jaguar I-Pace has four different trims available: S, SE, HSE and First Edition. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, two different touchscreens, in-car Wi-Fi, Jaguar Activity Key, panoramic roof, Bluetooth, navigation, USB ports, adaptive cruise control, leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second row, power liftgate, adaptive cruise control, four-zone climate control, etc. Safety features include lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitor, autonomous emergency braking, 360-degree camera and park assist.
2019 Nissan Leaf
The 2019 Nissan Leaf is a 5-seat electric car that’s only available as a 4-door hatchback. Only front-wheel-drive models are offered.
The 2019 Nissan Leaf has only one drivetrain: A 100-kilowatt electric motor powered by a 40-kilowatt Lithium-ion battery that produces 147 horsepower and is paired to a single-speed transmission. EPA-estimated maximum range is 150 miles.
The 2019 Nissan Leaf has a new model, the Leaf e+. The e+ has a more powerful power source with a 160-kilowatt electric motor and 62-kilowatt battery, which together produce 214 horsepower and deliver a range of 226 miles.
The 2019 Nissan Leaf has three available trims: S, SV, and SL. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated front seats, heated rear seats, premium audio, auxiliary jack, USB, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and navigation. Safety features include rearview camera, 360-degree camera, and a suite of semi-autonomous driving features. New technologies for 2019 include ProPilot Assist and ePedal intelligent mobility features.
