There is a complete model lineup available with the SXT, SXT Plus, R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker, R/T Scat Pack, 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker, and Hellcat.
The 2015 Dodge Challenger has a lot of new features compared to previous models. The 5.7 liter Hemi engine has 375 horsepower and the 6.4 Hemi engine, which is new this year, has 485 horsepower. You can get either a six speed manual transmission or you can get the newest eight speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission that is controlled by an electronic shifter. This new automatic transmission allows the 2015 Dodge Challenger to accelerate to 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds. There is a new launch control that helps you maximize your traction. If you keep your right foot into it, you will cover the quarter mile in about 12.2 seconds. If you have enough track available to you that day, you might be able to reach its top speed of 182 mph. Now at those speeds, you really need a great set of brakes to slow you down, so you can option your Challenger with the new four piston Brembo brakes.
In the interior of the 2015 Dodge Challenger, you can experience new technology with a retro feel to it. As with many new cars, there is an 8.4 inch touchscreen with multiple functions including a new ParkView rear backup camera. The dash gauges are made of a thin film transistor and measure 7 inches in diameter. The gauges have gone retro with the inclusion of a tic-toc-tach. How cool is that!
The 2015 Dodge Challenger has a retro look to it that’s been taken from the 1971 Challenger. The new grille is reminiscent of the ’71 grille and it’s been updated with some very unique LED headlamps that have great appearing halo surrounds. These new headlamps are distinctively Challenger when you see them at night. If these new head lights aren’t bright enough for you, there is an extra cost high intensity discharge headlamp option. The new tail lamps scream 1971, but with current technology LED ribbon lights contained within the lenses.
As you can see in the photo above, there are some available stripe options to personalize your 2015 Challenger. In fact, there are seven unique stripes available, plus there are both heritage and high impact paint colors that can make your Challenger really stand out.
In addition to the paint and stripe choices, there are nine different types of wheels available this year. Some of these wheels are unique to the Challenger R/T Scat Pack and 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker hood Challengers.
The 2015 Dodge Challenger has 14 new interiors with retro patterns and colors. You will need to personally see these Challengers to appreciate the interior trims and colors. Houndstooth is a classic from the late 60’s, Ruby Red leather sounds great, Ballistic II is an extra cost cloth option, Alcantara Suede, Nappa Leather, and Tungsten Torque are some of the new retro patterns, fabrics, and colors available for upholstery choices for the 2015 Dodge Challenger.
The technical side of the 2015 Dodge Challenger features quite a bit. Some of these techno-features include a new blind spot monitoring system with a new rear cross path detection to spot approaching cars in parking lots and garages. There is a new cruise control and a new forward collision warning system. These new technology features provide a safer Challenger for all the occupants.
The 2015 Dodge Challenger has some really enjoyable Heritage models. The R/T Shaker Challenger and R/T Plus Shaker Challenger are powered by the 5.7 liter Hemi engine. There is a 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker Challenger that pumps out 485 horsepower and is sure to satisfy the power needs of most owners. If you need more power, there is the Challenger Hellcat that pumps out 707 horsepower. This is the top of the food chain. It’s a quarter mile terror.
